Environmental Studies (ENST) B.S. Requirements

MAJOR REQUIREMENTS: 

48 HOURS, including ENST 1013 Consumption and the Environment, a faculty advisor approved capstone course in the sciences, humanities, or social sciences, and 6 hr of Environmental Research Experience for Students (ENST 2940, 2950, 3940, and 3950) credits in any approved discipline.

Environmentally related natural sciences:

At least 12 hrs from the approved course list available from the department or as approved by a faculty advisor.

Environmentally related social sciences:

At least 12 hrs from the approved course list available from the department or as approved by a faculty advisor

Environmentally related humanities:

At least 12 hrs from the approved course list available from the department or as approved by a faculty advisor.

Environmentally related skills:

At least 12 hrs from the approved course list available from the department, including minimum of 3 hrs of Math and 3 hrs of Statistics, or as approved by a faculty advisor.

 

MAJOR SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS:

Biology:

At least 4 hours chosen from an approved course list available from the department or as approved by faculty advisor.

Chemistry: 

At least 3 hours chosen from an approved course list available from the department or as approved by faculty advisor.

Physics: 

At least 4 hours chosen from an approved course list available from the department or as approved by faculty advisor.

University-Wide General Education, College of Arts & Sciences Requirements, and Free Electives: 

To bring total applicable hours to 120 including 48 upper-division hours.
